Beds had something crawling on them . One walked over my face during the night. No curtains around the bed for privacy even though we were told they would be put on . Don’t be fooled by the photos you see. Grotty hole. Bedrooms had no air flow room like a furnace.

i slept 10 hours in a mixed 12-people room so the bed was great :) the showers also clean, big and you can choose the temperature. a lot of options to eat in the evening. very friendly hosts. for €24 this was more than okay. they gave me free milk and a bowl and spoon for my cereals

I enjoyed my stay at The Royal Standard but the rooms look nothing like they do on Booking.com! The staff were very helpful and friendly, the bar area was welcoming with plenty of board games and some arcade games too! However, the owner needs to upgrade the shower/toilet/dormitory facilities and consider giving the property a deep clean! The fire alarm went off at 1am and, after leaving the building, there wasn't anyine to advise us of what was happening. To be honest, if it wasn't for the staff, I'd have given it a poor rating.

Worst experience ever! I booked the private room with my friend. On the second night, we arrived and some guys were taking drugs (more than marihuana) in the toilettes, we were super scared. It was smelling all the hall and the areas marihuana. I was so scared to go to pee so I went until the next day morning. The room was not clean and the bed was terrible with one stain of blood or something under the sheet. The toilets were dirty. I moved to another place after. They didn’t refund me the 3 night left and the key deposit, after I said to them that we were not feeling safe there at night. Mainly men’s are sleeping there. No comfortable for girls. Please go to another place!! You will lost your money.

My sons stayed Friday 1 July 2022 and woke at 2am to find giant bed bugs crawling all over their beds! There was no one at the property to speak to overnight and the boys had to put their mattresses and bedding outside the door. They were literally crawling with them. The boys tried to sleep on the floor. No one turned up at the property until about 10am in the morning and the person they spoke to didn't seem at all bothered. The booking was for 2 nights and the property offered to move them to a different room but they understandably didn't accept and I moved them elsewhere. I have been trying to get a full refund for both nights as the property is not fit for purpose but they will only offer one night. Avoid!
